Danny Chronister - Pastor

In 1 Corinthians 3: The Apostle Paul rebukes new believers in Corinth. They were so enamored with their teachers, Paul and Apollos, that they mistakenly wanted to follow them instead of God. Paul explains (6), "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow…(9) for we are God's fellow workers, you are God's field, God's building."

That passage says a lot, not just about my life but about the spirituality of all people. To have any spiritual life, I believe that we all need to be exposed to these "spiritual seeds" at some point in our lives.

I was born in 1946 to a single mother who raised me with the help of my Pennsylvania Dutch grandparents who were devout Christians. Living with such dedicated Christians meant that I was there if there was a service or activity at Pine Grove Church. Music was a big part of my family's worship, mom was the choir director and pianist, and my aunt is still the church organist. However, I grew very rebellious in later years and became a "prodigal son," leaving the church behind. Nonetheless, the "spiritual seeds" were planted years prior, and it was that exposure to Jesus and His church that led me back to the church by the power of the Holy Spirit; I was obsessed with singing once again in the annual Christmas Cantata. I distinctly remember the "God Moment" that night, kneeling aside my pastor in the nursery and the physical infilling of the Holy Spirit as I was born again. As I grew, God called me to share "spiritual seeds" while "Lay Speaking" at all the country churches in the District.

Not all of us are fortunate enough to be groomed in such a Christian household and infilled with these "spiritual seeds," so when God later called me to pastorship, I felt a keen obligation to everyone, especially those who are searching or troubled. My greatest motivation is to spread those (spiritual) seeds that the Apostle Paul talks about to grow others here in North Port, FL. Our purpose at Trinity Church North Port is to plant some (spiritual) seeds, water some others, and help harvest those that are ready!

I am proud of what continues to be accomplished here and all by the grace of God! Our growth here at Trinity Church has been a product of our friendliness and spirit-filled worship. I hope our worship experience enriches you and your family.

Abundant Blessings!

As a native from the "City of Brotherly Love" my parents relocated us to Charlotte County in 1973. I graduated in 1981 from Charlotte High School and left the area to pursue a higher education and raise a family. My only son, Robert is 32 and resides in SC.

Thanks to COVID, I am pretty much a homebody. I enjoy reading recipes, cooking, sunsets, and binge watching old series.

Is there anything else you would like others to know?
I have been blessed to serve in church ministry since 2001 when offered a part time job as a Hospitality Director at my then church in SC. That job eventually outgrew me and led me into a consulting position before landing in sunny SWFL - otherwise known as Paradise. Over the years I have been blessed exponentially all while serving the people of God!

Tell us a little about your family.

My husband Michael and I come from the state of Wisconsin and have been “Snow Angels” for the past 4 years.  In 2021 we decided to move to Florida full time, living in the community of La Casa. We are a blended family with four children between us ranging in age from 27 to 39.  We also are proud grandparents to 4 grandchildren with 2 more on the way!!  God is Good!!

Tell us a little about you.

I was born and raised in Upper Michigan where my mother was the youngest of 10 children.  Before cell phones and social media, our family learned to sing and play an instrument – my love for music comes from these family roots.
